A subsidiary of SHPS, Carewise Health, Inc., provides employee health programs to help employers reduce group health insurance costs, while also striving to improve the wellness of individuals. Based out of Louisville, Kentucky, Carewise Health manages a staff of over 1,000 medical professionals, including health coaches, clinicians, and registered nurses. The company seeks to improve general health through motivational tools and educational resources.

Experienced coaches offer members of Carewise Health programs individualized attention and motivation. These coaches are trained to recognize what factors and behaviors motivate an individual and what situations in a member's life create barriers to health improvement. All coaches work with a team of medical professionals to formulate wellness plans geared toward the individual needs of the client. Members graduate from learning about healthy living habits to applying what they learn to their daily lives. Carewise Health believes that better health can be achieved on an individual level through awareness and practicing healthy lifestyle habits.
